Meet the Team

Janice Dunsford

Nursery Manager

Janice joined as nursery manager in March 2011 from our sister nursery, Head Start, in Lewisham. She has worked with young children since 1992 and has managed nurseries in Highbury, Chigwell and Chelsea.

Janice has the NNEB, ADCE (Advanced Diploma in Child Care and Education,) Montessori teacher's assistant certificate, Degree in Early Childhood Studies and has recently completed the Diploma in Teaching in the LifeLong Learning Sector. 

Janice spent 3 years as a childminder to enable her to stay at home with her son until he went to school. She has vast experience of working with young children and has been a manager since 2000.

Laura Yates

Deputy Manager

Laura came to Looking Glass in March 2004 as a Nursery Nurse and has steadily progressed within the nursery, becoming a Deputy Manager in August 2010.  Laura has a wealth of knowledge, in particular of the care of under twos.  Laura gained her Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB) in 1999 and her Certificate in Childcare and Education in 1997.  Laura is the Behaviour Representative for the nursery.

Tracey McArthur

Deputy Manager

Tracey joined us in January 2003 as a trainee nursery practitioner, becoming Room Manager in 2004, Unit Co-ordinator in 2010 and was promoted again to Deputy Manager in January 2011.  Tracey has an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education.  Tracey is also our Health and Safety Co-ordinator for the nursery.

Natalie Taylor

Finance Assistant

Natalie came to Looking Glass in March 2011 and her role is Finance Administrator.  Prior to joining us, Natalie worked for Universal Records in their accounts department.  Natalie is a local girl, living close to the nursery and is currently studying for her ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians) qualification.

Miss Pirim

Preschool Teacher

Miss Pirim is a qualified teacher and leads our Preschool team to prepare children for the transition to 'big school.'  She has a wealth of experience working with the 3-5 year age group and has taken charge of reception classes in schools.

Miss Pirim joined Looking Glass in September 2011, her relaxed manner and infectious laugh inspires the children to be happy and confident while they learn and develop the skills needed for their school career.
